Toronto: Sathi Devi was a shy but studious student in both school and college. Let’s find out how this sheepishly timid Sathi Devi who only dared to take part in Group dances turned into a dynamic model and an actor in Canada.

This charismatic model was born and brought up in Nilambur, Kerala-India. She was academically inclined and was a strikingly good student during her teens. She did her degree in Computer science from Amal College and passed out in 2016. After her degree, she wanted to pursue her education in Canada. Though her parents – Pushparaj and Suja encouraged her in all the initiatives, they had to convince their relatives, over the decision. Somehow, she managed to persuade all her kin to pursue her higher education in Canada.

As she was preparing for her IELTS, one of her friends felt she was photogenic. So she wanted to create a portfolio for herself and began the photoshoot. After the photoshoot sessions, she was keenly driven towards building her career in modelling and acting.

She began to develop several dub smash videos. These videos turned viral and she got opportunities to audition for a couple of films ‘Paippin Chuvattile Pranayam & Chembarathipoo’. Slowly her family, relatives and friends began to support her and started to realize her potential. Though she hails from a conservative family, her sissy Gayathri, who currently lives in Dubai along with her husband Praveen and her parents were very supportive of her work.

During this tenure of her career shifts and aspirations, she moved to Canada in 2018. She signed up for a 2-year course at Centennial College. She went on to do her higher studies in Computer technology and Networking. Soon after completion, she got placed in Zedd customer care solutions. Currently, Devi works for Rogers as a customer care consultant.

Initially, after she moved to Canada, she wasn’t active on social media handles for 3 months due to the innumerable tasks that she had to juggle. But, eventually, as things began to fall in place, Sathi started her content creation work in the digital space. She is quite a congenial personality who makes friends easily without hesitation. With her strong networking capabilities and reference through peers and buddies, she participated in TMS – International Student Wing Hypark meetup in 2018.

Fortunately, she happened to meet RJ Karthik and the duo decided to do a Tiktok video for Instagram together. Sathi Devi being a phenomenal dancer, her dance video went viral. In 2019, the music album ‘Go love go’ sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan, shot in the winter of 2018 with skilled Cameraman Sirosh’s Photography and Directed and Produced by Biju Thayilchira also received an overwhelming response.

Sathi became one of the hot favourite models to be captured by renowned photographer Sirosh Antony, it was released on his Instagram page 4 times. Sathi did another musical album named Padu Ninne which gathered the applause of her fans. Pandu Ninne was directed by Popular directors Christy Varghese & Akshay Moncy from Magic mist media. She has been called to do a role in a Telugu Musical Album – Eenati vela. She also has collaborated with Madhvi on Instagram for her apparel range. Sathi dreams to be an actor and a successful model in the future. She also has an enterprising attitude, as she wants to use her modelling prowess to build her clothing collection range and envisions opening a boutique in the future.

Sathi is a dynamic personality now, who always gets inspired by positive vibes and incorporates those positive energies into everything she does. We wish Sathi many more successes in all her endeavours.
