Toronto: Tony Christopher was born and brought up by his mother in Trivandrum, Kerala, India. As a school-goer, Tony was a very studious student, passionate in many extracurricular activities such as Keyboard, Dancing Mono Acting, Sports and so on.
He was a charismatic teenager who was a head boy at school. Right from his teens he was involved in athletics, basketball and was an excellent acrobat. Not just in sports and arts, but also in academics Tony proved himself to be exceptional. In all sports activities, Tony excelled as a champ in district level meets. While he was in standard eight, he acquired a Gold Medal in All Kerala Basketball Championship. The love for physical activity and adrenal rush for achievement chiselled Tony into a fit and agile young man.
He enrolled himself in NCC (National Cadet Corps) and was one of the best of Cadets bringing honour to his school. During his final year at school in 2015, Tony received the best NCC Cadet Award from Oomen Chandy. He also bagged the most prestigious NCC Vayu Sainik Award. He also actively participated in the Republic Day parade in Delhi and was one among the Indian Guard of Honour team. He got to meet Hon’ble Former President Pranav Mukherjee at the event’s high-tea party.
Tony was consistently motivated by his mother Lali Alexander and his sister Teena Christopher. His mother was a single parent for both these kids, from their infant years she inculcated the virtues of integrity and hard work into both of them. She was a tough woman, who worked hard in a Govt Job to provide for her children. She was a logic driven woman who was very good at Mathematics and also a gifted dancer.
Tony takes up his dancing skills and proficiency to handle mathematical problems from his mother. His mother is also a talented dancer who’d secured her kalathilagam award in her younger years. His sister Teena is also a graceful dancer and is currently pursuing her higher education in Fashion Technology at NIFT Hyderabad.
After school, Tony joined BSc Maths at Mar Invanios College in Trivandrum. Looking at his incredible talents, a world of stages opened for him there. The dance team End1crew openly embraced him into their team. Since, two of pro dancers left the renowned DR Crew, finalists of D-4-Dance (Mazhavil Manorama), Tony became the perfect fit into the team. The DR Crew after an audition took him in and they collectively performed in World Of Dance India Qualifiers and the team became the crowd’s fav team and bagged them a whopping success.
He wanted to join Indian Air Force as a flying officer. His mother always wanted him follow his passion and have a decent career. He began to teach maths at Paadasaala school in Trivandrum while doing his part time post graduation. As he hid his passion and worked as a teacher, a family friend suggested him to do a course in Data Aanalytics in Canada. So, Tony enrolled as an international student for Data Analytics at Durham College, Oshawa.
In Canada, he became a part of Canadian Media Club and performed at the inauguration of the Club, his stunning flip-ups and amazing dance moves kept the audience at the edge of their seats. His Instagram posts and acrobatic style of dance make his fan’s jaw drop and follow him like flies on all social media handles. Now, Tony does a lot of part-time jobs, follows his passion which is dance and is also chasing his dream career. We wish him all the very best for his future endeavors.
