Taste of India, the most popular and sought-after Indian food festival in North America is back with it’s Live on site event at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto.
As all events were held back for the years 2020/21 due to the Pandemic, Taste of India continued to hold digital events for the last 2 years providing the same level of entertainment.
Now, TASTE of INDIA food festival is ready with its motley of diverse cuisines from the Incredible country of India. The food lovers who have been waiting eagerly will have a taste of spices, savory, sweet and tangy flavours from India.
“We are really glad to announce that your wait is finally over, and we will be back on July 31 and August 1, 2022, 12 -10 Pm with our dream come true ‘Taste of India’ which draws more than 100000 footfalls every year to the event” said excitedly the founders Rinku and Vrajesh Shah of School of Flavours.
School of Flavours was founded in the year 2016, and the company is dedicated to ensure long-lasting connectivity and build relationships with the help of food and entertainment. The main focus is to educate and connect people with the richness of Indian culture that lies deep rooted in its arts, cuisine and diversity.
Along with this magnum event, School of Flavours has been hosting Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Guru Nanak Jayanti and World of Flavours in association with the Ontario Government.
Talking about the history of Taste of India, Rinku one of the founders of the event, narrated that “In 2017, the first event of Taste of India was organized at Nathan Philip square. The turnout was massive and then we started to obtain support from the community and authorities.We have seen the event grow from 15,000 in 2017 to 1,00,000 in 2019 which is just 3 calendar years”.
This event is not just themed on food, but also creates an atmosphere where young artists can showcase their talent by registering on their website.
There were a plethora of other programs taking place during this event such as dancing, singing, Live bands, Kids activities, food competitions and shopping too.
This year, 100+ vendors have been estimated to join the event. It is projected that this event will break its record with its overwhelming response.
The reach has been phenomenal this year with the help of ‘word of mouth’ and a very effective digital marketing team.
The volunteer interest has also been phenomenal this year with more and more people wanting to connect with the festival. The amazing production team is said to bring non-stop entertainment on-stage and off-stage that includes cultural and bollywood dances, Live singing DJ, Flash mob, competition and prizes.
There will also be dance, acrobatic shows and sufficient kids’ entertainment.
While writing this article, we have been filled with excitement of what it is going to be like to attend Taste of India. As Indians, I am sure all of us aspire to be a part of anything that makes us proud of our culture in Canada and Taste of India has been doing so since 2017.
