Toronto: It took four enterprising men to bridge the gap between Malayalam and Telugu filmmakers and Canadian movie buffs. There has always been an overseas market for Indian films and the craze for South Indian cinema in the western world is growing day by day. The traction is likely to increase by about 20 per cent in the next five years, according to global and Indian buyers and sales agents.

Gone are the days when Malayalam and Telugu movies appealed only to the Indian Diaspora overseas. Today, audiences from non-traditional markets also are eager to see Indian films – especially the Mollywood & Tollywood flicks.

The four veterans who laid the foundations to bring standard Malayalam and Telugu movies to Canada are Sony Varghese, Tijomon Velimparambil, Bijo Sebastian and Manoj Vattakatt . Understanding the choice of the Canadians, these musketeers sourced the most inspiring and entertaining genres of movies and played these vernacular creations to the audience.

Families, students and senior citizens enjoy and taste the bite of creativity of South Indian filmmakers being in Canada. Sony & Tijo targeted the masses in Ottawa and Montreal and played his acquisition of movies in these cities. Whereas, Bijoy confined himself to cities such as Edmonton and Calgary in the province of Alberta. Manoj, the fourth player in the movie buying business, was reaching out to the audiences in the cities of London, Windsor and Sarnia of Ontario. All four entrepreneurs were extremely successful in their business and the movie lovers loved them.

After reaping an overwhelming response and winning over the hearts of their audiences in specific cities, these veteran movie buyers have merged to delight their customers by taking their acquired cinema pan-Canada. They have decided to invest in acquiring all high budget production movies which make box office hits and cast them in high-end multiplex theatres across Canada. They are focused on taking South Indian cinema to the next level in Canada. Collectively they call themselves the ‘Achayan’Z Film House‘ and have ventured to take this high networth initiative forward. The audiences are also super-excited about this partnership and look forward to watching the most trending hits without delay at their own city.

The Achayanz are ready to cast Dulquer Salmaan’s latest movie ‘Kurup’ across Canada shortly and the audiences are waiting to block the tickets for the show. Movies are available at A class theatres such as Cineplex and Landmark Cinemas at major cities of Canada. To book tickets for this trending premiere movie release in Canada, click here: Achayanz.ca.
